Lace on Prints

In case you haven't notice, I love anything which has prints on it. See this post and this one. For me, prints put an extra oomph on your outfit and gives a what seems to be dull outfit its much needed push. Now wearing lace is another thing. If wearing prints gives one that fierce look, I think lace gives that girly, sexy feel. As much as I love these two styles, I'm not a fan of mixing patterns. But I loved how this outfit turned out. I think it's just proper to wear it on the first day of classes when I need all the push I can get to jumpstart my last school year in law school.

I think the trick is just to put everything in moderation. Just the right amount of lace and prints, right?:)

Bundled Up

Jacket- I cannot remember; Top- Greenhills; Flats- Shoelala! Manila

Oh hello there lovelies. Sorry for that little hiatus as we were busy preparing for our mock trial in law school. ;) I think all those three to four hour sleep took a toll on my body because the past couple of days I was busy being sick. *weakling* LOL seriously people, we should really learn to take care of our bodies and not abuse it, it has its limits too. I hate being sick because  it affects my whole mood. I can really be cranky, and irritable, and annoying when I'm sick.

Due to my being sick, I really had no choice but to bundle up and layer my clothes because believe it or not, it was raining here in Manila yesterday. Raining in late February when it's supposed to be almost the start of summer? Seriously weather could you get any weirder? I rarely wear leggings but I guess this one day is an exception. And I wore flats the whole week to school because my whole body is feeling weak and I'm afraid  I might fall down if I walked on heels. ;)

How are things going for everyone?:)

Easy Outfit

Aaaand we're back. Today was the first day back in school after almost a month's break. Yes, a month long break. I swear my brain cells are still in protest right now. But what can a girl do? I'd say go ahead and face the world. And that's just what I did today. :)

Belt- Mom's closet Le Donne

So for the first day back, I decided to grab the easiest thing I can wear. You just basically put yourself into it and voila! LOL. But seriously, I chose to wear this dress today for a couple of reasons. First, it was an animal printed dress. As you can see from this post, I am quite obsessed with anything which has animal print. And I don't think my love affair with them would be ending soon. :) Second, it is quite loose or not that body- hugging, meaning I don't have to hold my breath the whole time. You see, it's that time of the year again when we all feel we have gained weight from all the stuff we took in during the holidays. I'm not alone on this, am I? Please tell me no. And well, since I am still having issues doing my workout, I think this dress is perfect timing. ;) Oh and one more thing, I've had this dress in my closet for months already but haven't worn it yet. And since it's the new year and our first day back in school, I figured new year, new clothes (though it's not technically new). Haha

I've wanted to add a little color on my outfit today and this earring which I bought last Friday seems perfect. When I saw it from the stand, I know I HAD to buy it. Especially if it costs less than a hundred pesos. Plus, according to feng shui experts, turquoise/ aquamarine is one of the lucky colors of the year. So why not wear   it on my first day right? :)

How was everyone else's first Monday of the year?:)

Animal Prints and Me

Is it just me or are animal prints really cute to wear? I don't know about you, but I think I've developed quite an attraction for anything which has animal print on it. Sometimes I don't even notice that I'm wearing animal prints until someone points them out to me. LOL. Animal printed skirts, top and sandals, I love them all!

Top: Mango
Skirt: Blanc and Noir
Shoes: Janeo

Please  pardon the location of this picture. :)

Yes, this was taken inside our school restroom one time we were bored. Oh the things girls love to do inside the restroom!

Sheer Leopard Top

Leopard- print sandals: SO! Fab

See what I mean? :)
How do you wear your animal prints? I wanna know ;)

Lovin' the Donut Bun :)

I saw this hairstyle from my friend the other day and found it neat and sophisticated. I don't know if this would work on my hair since I have thin- fine hair strands but still thought I'd give it a try. This is a perfect hairstyle to keep your hair up this summer, making you feel comfortable as your hair won't be all over your face making you all sweaty and greasy in these hot days. It can be done using the materials you can easily find in your closet.

Oh, and another plus is that it only takes more or less than 5 minutes to come up with this great look. [Considering that fixing my hair takes a lot of my time when dressing up, this is perfect too when I'm rushing to school ;)]

I practically got all these stuff from my closet except for the sock, which I got from my Dad's :) Here's what you'll need to start off:

1 Hairbrush
2 Hair Spray (I think this is optional)
3 Ponytails
4 Bobby Pins
5 Socks

I searched online for instructions on how to do it and here's what I have come up to. My attempt on the Donut Bun.

*I have found a lot of good results online, but I've linked the one which I think is the easiest to do. Thank you to VanCityPretty for this helpful post*

My first attempt :)

My not- so- perfect bun :)
Not bad for a first try, I think :)

I think my bun is still a bit messy but I am certainly loving the Donut Bun. Practice makes perfect right?:)
