Proud Girlfriend Moment

This one's kinda late, like, a month or two late. LOL sorry. But I really wanted to share how proud I am of this guy right here.

Setting My Priorities

The Court is in Session

Hey friends, still here! :)  Sorry for being MIA lately. Our internet connection had not been very cooperative for the last week but we finally got our connection running smoothly *fingers crossed* once more.

So how's life treating you lately? This week, I was quite busy roaming around the halls of justice observing actual court proceedings!  It was a very different experience. Real life detainees, real life judges, real life witnesses, actual pieces of evidence, actual lawyers in action, actual court room... Everything was just so real. I always see trials going on in the movies, but it is really different when you witness it happening in real life.

With Judge Vibandor of RTC Las Piñas Branch 199
Branch 199 is a Family Court. And Judge Vibandor is a perfect fit for it as he seems a very caring father. He gave us a tour of his sala and even offered to take our pictures. Thank you Judge, we'll surely come back! :)

Overall, the experience was a bit tiring, quite fun, and very educational. It was like seeing my future before me. Although I've always been wanting to be a corporate lawyer, who knows I might as well be litigating. ;)

Day One and I'm Drained

First night after day one of our exams and I can't sleep. Wow. If you are wondering, my day went somehow a little like this

via
I didn't read that many books though ;)

via
I think that's how I looked like a while ago while taking the exams.

And this is how I feel right after

And when I got home all I want to do is this

via
Yes that's right. I just want to get a lot of zzzs. I'm having a day off  for exams tomorrow that's why I'm not feeling guilty about sleeping in tonight. ;) But I guess I'm too tired to sleep. Scheduling a major subject on the first day of  the examination week is really exhausting. Whoever made that schedule anyway?

via
No, I haven't reached that point yet.

via
Smile. Because there's no reason not to.

via
via
Sometimes you really just need to laugh it off right? So...

via
Yes, I sure hope you do. 'Cause I did...

...and it made me feel better.

Thank God for hugs! They are really really comforting, especially on days like this. And thank God, B gives one of the most comforting hugs I know! ;) So hey, if you're having a bad day find that one simple thing that would make you smile. Okay? Okay! ;)

Reasons Why I Love Being in School

Two weeks of schooling and I'm still getting the hang of it. All has been well, so far. ;)

Despite more and more readings that needs to be done each day, it's not enough reason to get me down.
"What is known need not be proved"

If there's one reason why I love being back in school it would be dressing up. Here's a sneak peek of my outfits for the whole week.

P.S: Pardon the first picture. I should've cleaned the mirror. Haha ;)

But then again, it's not the only reason...

... Being back in school also means more coffee to consume for me.

Still I've got more reasons...

... 'Cause it also means being able to be with good friends.

Me and my bestfriend during class. Incidentally, we almost look the same that day. Pants, sleeveless shirt and wedges. ;)

And most especially being back in school...

... is a perfect excuse to be spending more time studying with this guy. ;)

Being in law school and staying sane at the same time is a challenge, but not impossible. Having fun while still staying focused in school  is possible if you know your priorities. It's a brand new week tomorrow, time to face more challenges! :)

Hope you all had a great weekend! ;)

Back to Reality

After a week of endless cleaning and a last minute let's- get- a- little- wasted- before- school- starts party (yes I did get drunk a day before we officially started school), this week it's time to face reality for me. Hello again law books and terror professors!
Well, B and I still manage to squeeze in a little last minute shopping trip last Wednesday night when he picked me up from school. Haha ;)

Dear law school, I am so ready for you. That past summer has got me energized. Game on! ;)

Bacon Mushroom Melt. What kept us company in yesterday's study session. Yum! :)
My pink nails and his basketball shorts for the win! Haha. I wasn't so comfy wearing my skirt so I decided to raid B's closet.

We had 2 hours of uninterrupted study time last night. That alone is a feat for us since we really can't stop ourselves from talking when we're together. But we all got to have a little discipline sometimes right?;)  Thank you B, for being my favorite study buddy.

Some Good News and a Reward

Today I decided to face my fear. :) Before I leave for another road trip, I decided I'll go face what I have been delaying for days already. I was able to beat that self- imposed deadline! Mission accomplished. ;) I went to school to get my grades. I was really, really nervous. I passed by the chapel to pray and then again when I reached our building, I stopped by the prayer room to say another prayer.

Next thing I know I was again inside the prayer room talking to B, I told him "I passed! Naiiyak ako (Translation: I feel like crying)." Yes, I passed my subjects last semester, thank God!! I was so relieved. Prayers do really work.

And because of this I decided to reward myself today with this

My half- full glass of red iced tea and movie tickets too Battleship :)
And most importantly this

Found this fabulous wedges! :)
I think I deserve all these, plus the upcoming road trip. Don't you? Hey, it's a tough job to be in law school. Haha ;)

*On a side note, speaking of the road trip, I maybe away again from my blog over the next few days. But I promise to share about the trip when I got back.*

Packing again ;)

Have you guys received any good news as well? Sure hope you do. ;)
